"What
are all those people doing?" said Little Bear one morning.
"They look as if they are having a paddle
at the seaside," rejoined Jerra-Mary.
"Probably just fishing for something,"
said Keswick knowingly. "I heard someone talking about cockles."
"Funny things people get up to,"
added Little Bear.
Their adventures were now in full swing.
Sailing and sightseeing and the odd real adventure was a regular occurrence.
Like going around Cape Finisterre. "The weather should be getting
really warm soon," said Keswick. "We are now going south, just
like the swallows in winter time." No sooner had he said this than
the three found themselves in a nice sandy cove on a deserted island.
"Well, let's take these woolly clothes
off," said Keswick. "Look, there are even palm trees everywhere
that look just like giant pineapples."
We are getting into hotter parts, the three
agreed.
