…and Keith enjoys a walk with Xavier.
We can at last take a trip back to the UK – Keith with Emily & Jon and Rob & Jas in Hyde Park, London.
We got as far north as Yorkshire – despite wonderful weather, it was very cold!
And Shrewsbury Castle basking in spring sunshine.
A typical stream and very old bridge in Wales.
And the lambs were being born.
Keith’s sister arranged a wonderful family get-together – at short notice – it was great, thanks!
Then it was south to Torquay …
…and Dartmouth.
A typical thatched cottage in our old stomping ground, the New Forest (about 1100 years old)…
…and another.
A new thatch roof being done.
Buckler’s Hard in the New Forest – where Nelson built his warships.
Ashlett Sailing Club – in an old tide mill.
Inside the tide mill – very low ceilings!
Our very good friends Doug & Shirley (with Murphy) outside their home.
Eeling, in the New Forest, has another tide mill.
Another pub lunch, this time with Jill & Mike, more ex-cruiser friends who helped with advice!
Beaulieu Boat Jumble – an amazing (and cheap) shopping opportunity for boaties!
The university city of Oxford with its amazing architecture…
…and pristine gardens.
The punts ready for hire…
… and Oxford’s ‘Bridge of Sighs’
Emily & Jon took us to dinner at the Trout Inn – and Rob & Jas came down to from London to join us.
At last, a semi-presentable photo of us!
Dubai – one giant building site…
The air is dusty from all the construction…
Dubai – one giant building site…
Approaching the world’s tallest tower (at present, anyway)…
Up close, it is difficult to take it all in!
Some of the buildings are amazing…
This ‘souk’ look-alike is in the new Dubai Shopping Mall…
And so is this full size ice hockey rink!
This view from our hotel room in Abu Dhabi shows how it is trying to catch up with Dubai.
Back at Dockside Marina, Brisbane, Pei-Yi (Sandy) and Gavin’s wedding on 4th July, 2010.
And proud parents Doug & Shirley with Alex on her wedding day 16th July, 2010 in the UK.
We decided to move into an apartment while we renovate the interior of Poco Andante. This is the view from our apartment at Dockside – pretty good, isn’t it!
