A month-long stopover in Bali on our way to Australia – our first hotel in Seminyak, Bali…
… although situated on a busy road, the hotel had a lovely pool area and secluded grounds.
After a few days to recover from the flight from the UK, we hired a driver to take us across the island to Pemuteran on the NW corner of Bali.
The Taman Sari Resort was idyllic…
Our room at the Taman Sari Resort…
… with its outdoor bathroom…
… relaxing terrace…
… and swimming pool just steps away from the terrace.
View from the private beach of the resort…
… where a fantastic breakfast was served each morning.
While there, Keith was able to do a dive on the coral, which was in good shape.
The dive trip included lunch on this island.
After a delightful couple of weeks, we moved around to Lovina, where we’d anchored in 2013 during the Sail Indonesia Rally.
Our hotel was a bit disappointing but, as always in Bali, the grounds were amazing.

From Lovina we moved further south to another of the Taman Sari resorts, this one with just a few chalets in the grounds of the family estate…
As the only guests, they gave us the honeymoon suite!
Once again, we had an outdoor bathroom…
… and our own private grounds!
Once again, the grounds were amazing…
… with an horizon pool overlooking the padi fields.
We enjoyed several walks through the rice padis…

Finally in Brisbane, we bought a KIA Sportage SUV to enable us to find somewhere to live!
